So, I keep checking outside to see if it’s a full moon…

I even went on to ismercuryinretrograde.com to see if that’s why people were acting like werewolves.

And then, I heard about the solar flares (which I DO believe affect us, especially women) and it comforted me.

But you know what? Even if you don’t believe in *any* of that stuff, I’ll give you something to sink your teeth into that will taste good and satisfy you, too.

It’s a quote from my husband and his words brought me comfort many years ago when he first said them to me, and bring me comfort every time I think of them since. He said:

“Honey, people are going to do what people are going to do. And if they’re going to reject you, at least be rejected for being ‘you.’ Just. be. you.”

I loved that because man, doesn’t it just completely SUCK to be loved because you were acceptable to someone because you met their own subjective standard? If you compromised your self, your heart and your voice and they liked you that way?

Then, they’re not really liking you. They’re in a relationship with an idea of you, but not really ‘you.’

There is no friend you should have to impress, please or change yourself for, because if you do, they don’t really love you to begin with and they’re really not a friend in the end.

Be-yourselfSo, friends — just be yourself. Your best self. Your highest self. Your truest to your truest ‘you’ self.

Be the kind of person you can look at in the mirror during the day and sleep in peace with at night.

People are going to do what they’re going to do. But you? Stay on course. You were created with a Divine Vision so, keep hold of that vision, even when others can’t see you for who you are.

People are going to do what people are going to do.

In the meantime,

Just be your very best

‘you.’
