Welcome to your 100-Day Gong! I love our community so much. To be together with our commitment of doing a mind/body/spirit practice 100 days straight, is such an honor.

I first heard about a 100-Day Gong the summer of 2014. Right away I thought, “Rock should do this!” (You know, because we always see something our spouse should work on and think we know what’s best for them. Oy vey…)

Within a short amount of time I knew, “Wait… this is for me!”

I read about people who meditated for 5 minutes a day, or wrote a book for 15 minutes a day or did yoga, dance, or Qi-Gong for 30 minutes a day…it sounded inspiring.

I did some more research and on August 1, 2014 set out on a Gong so ambitious that I think I made the monks blush.

Oh lord. By Day 6, I was like, “WHAT did I just DO?”

My Gong was 2 ½ – 3 hours a day. I was working at home, managing my health with this autoimmune thing (Hashimoto’s) and all the stuff that comes with it being summer time and having two busy boys at home who eat non-stop and a husband who actually wanted to spend time with me after he was done at work.

It was a lot. It required so much of me.

And you know what? By Day 70, something so big happened to my family that required great internal strength and tenacity – and I realized how much stronger and more able I was to deal with this hard thing BECAUSE of my Gong.

  • I kept my peace. Why? Because I had a practice that brought me peace.
  • I had physical strength. Why? Because I had a practice that brought me physical strength.
  • I had endurance for the long road ahead. Why? Because I had been in a practice that required endurance and brought it back to me when I needed it most.

The Group Experience:

It was one of the most powerful and empowering times in my life. I have been committed ever since and now, am grateful to say that this January 1, 2016 began my 5th Gong!

One of the things I knew about myself is that I stay committed when I’m invested. I knew that having a group where I was in a conversation with others was going to be a supportive thing for me when it was tempting to walk away from my promise to myself.

I wrote meditations and mantras for 400 days, which kept me very connected to my intention, to the process, and to our community of hundreds of people who were gonging along with me too.

I also know that I love traveling life with community so, if I’ve found something good, I love to share it, too!

That’s why I started our 100-Day Gong group: for both investing in myself and investing in others.

Your Investment in You:

We have a wonderful FB page for everyone to click ‘like’ and join in the fun. I want this open to everyone.

I also know that many of us love our private group where we would have those honest conversations and share those revelations that we wouldn’t have shared with the general public.

We know that there are common questions and challenges as well as specific ones that you don’t necessarily want to share with the entire world. I get it.

Rock and I have created something that will give us that same great experience and some extras, too.

100-Day Gong Bonus Group:

Private Access. In this Bonus we will be able to have daily conversations with each other without it showing up on the public newsfeed. The status will be ‘secret’ so, everything will just be between us… and Mark Zuckerberg   🙂

Encouragement Emails. You will also receive weekly encouragements via e-mail where I will set a focus for us for the week that allow us to re-center and remind ourselves of why this mattered to us in the first place. Getting refocused back on our ‘why’ is key when we’re too far from the starting line to go back and too far from the finish line to have the vision. These weekly e-mails will help to keep that inner vision along the way.

Conference Calls. We will have a twice-monthly conference calls – where we can chat about the topic at hand and answer the questions that matter to you.  We will record the call so, if you have to miss it, you can listen for inspiration afterward.

Pay Where You Are Pricing:

We understand something about human nature: We commit where we’re invested. Whether it’s when we go to the gym, or a college course or a counseling session, there’s an energetic exchange that happens when invest money into ourselves. The price for the bonus group is $45.

We also understand that not everybody is in the same place to invest the same amount.

With that understanding of both, we’ve created a “Pay Where You Are” for this bonus access. You have three options for a one-time payment:

$45.
$30.
$15.

So, whichever of these rates works best for your ability, is what you can pay.

We ask that if you’re not paying the full amount, that you treat it as if you did, because that will add to the value you receive.

And we also ask that you share this opportunity with others, in that way you are also invested in the participation of this group and that energy is a wonderful investment to make.

So, just to recap… for your payment of either 45, 30, or 15 dollars you will receive:

  • Access to honest and empowering daily conversations in the secret Facebook group where we’ll talk about the revelations and frustrations that are coming up.
  • Weekly encouragement and focus email to refocus us on our commitment and the powerful ‘why’ that originally inspired us.

What people are saying…

“My Gong was conscious breathing for a minute and journaling every day. The breathing was good but the journaling was most important. It’s been something I’ve wanted to do for years but I never really got around to it or was just too lazy to do it. But through the Gong, I kind of forced myself into a situation where I just wanted to do it every single day for at least 100 days.

I will say it was awesome.

I enjoyed writing my thoughts down every day. The thing about journaling for me is that I’ve realized how important my thoughts are and experiences are and that they’re not just some random happenings that take place throughout my life. They’re very important. It helped me to take my thoughts and experiences more seriously. Not that I’m taking life more seriously because I’m a fun-loving guy – but my deepest thoughts, through writing them down have helped me to take that part of my life more seriously and it has been a great help for me. To realize my thoughts and my dreams and my visions and to put it down on paper is important.

I’m still continuing my journaling, which is the good thing about it. It’s become an important aspect of my life. Something I don’t want to stop.

Stacey, thank you for your work for your dedication and everything you do. I want to give you a heartfelt thank you!”

“What has inspired me to do the 100 Day Gong was: Noticing the inconsistencies in some of my life intentions, having the desire to make a shift for more follow through with those areas and feeling like the Gong would be helpful space (because of the collaboration within this community) in setting up the structure and practice of follow through with my life.

I’m been through four 100 Day Gongs, and each of them involved a combination of Journaling (for mental and spiritual clarity), exercise & stretching (creating a healthy & flexibility body) and creating inspirational daily posts in social media (inviting others into a more inspirational living). Unfortunately (and fortunately), I was not successful in completing any of the 100 Days, which at first became very frustrating, then depressing and then (the fortunate part) the journey invited me to look deeper into the commitments I was making and why I wasn’t keeping them… and powerfully choosing what it is that I wish to create, while letting go of the past and focusing on where I was going.

This process has been life changing… because it has revealed a life-long habit of starting things and not following through with them. It also revealed the guilt, shame and blame side of most of my past that has been the driver of so much of my life and the repeating those behaviors.

Overall, I am learning that ‘the Gong’ is really more about shifting the way I live my life…than JUST working toward a 100-day goal. For me, it is about creating a life-time practice… from a whole new intentional, inspired and empowered living – for which I am very grateful.

From that space… everything is possible.
In this way, the Gong has been a huge help in the process.”

Tracy Panzarella“Do you hear that? It’s the sound of a gong. Close your eyes and imagine the vibration resonating throughout your entire body. The sound of a gong being struck is an ancient therapeutic practice used for stress relief, healing, and transformation. It wakes the self from its unconscious slumber and enlivens the soul. It’s also handy for getting everyone to the dinner table on time.

My friend and author, Stacey Robbins, spearheads a group practice called the 100-Day Gong – not the musical kind. I have to admit that when she first told me of the 100 Day Gong it made me think of that 70s game show, The Gong Show, which made me think of a kid I went to school with who was on the show and burped the ABCs. This is not that kind of Gong either.

The 100-Day Gong is a commitment you make to yourself to implement daily disciplines in mind/body/spirit practices. It is a transformative process, meaning you will hate it until you learn to love it. As Stacey writes, “the purpose of the 100 Day Gong is to take your life out of the ‘I wish’ category and put it into the ‘I’m doing it’ category”.
My first Gong started August 1st. I tend to overdo and then end up overwhelmed so I only committed to spending 30 minutes a day studying the Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu. Most days I found more than 30 minutes, but other days it was hard to squeeze in it. I did though because if you miss a day, you start the 100 days over. You’d think reading the Tao I wouldn’t care about the finish line at the end of the 100 days, but there was no way I was going to lose even to myself!

I’m glad I hung in there because after 100 days I walked away with a golden nugget of insight. I’d share, but it probably wouldn’t mean as much to you as if it were your own golden nugget. Suffice it to say what I discovered changed my way of thinking and when you change your thoughts, you change your life.

Since I still have a lot more thinking to change, I began my second 100-Day Gong on January 1st. It’s challenging, especially the part of waking up at 5:30 each morning to make room for my daily discipline. Committing to your life is not easy. It is so much easier to make up excuses and to blame other people or circumstances for why your life hasn’t worked out the way you want.

Do you hear that?

That is the sound of victimization. If this also resonates throughout your entire body, then maybe it’s time to face the music. Strike up your own 100-Day Gong and engage in a daily discipline that will help you to move your life forward in a way you intend it to move. One hundred days seems like a long time; but it’s true what they say, it’s the journey not the destination. This point really begins to sink in around the 80th day or so. I promise you, you will want to quit somewhere along the way and when you do, close your eyes, imagine the sound of a gong. It’s your life calling.”
