Well, (peri)menopause is no joke – is it? The hot flashes, night sweats, mood changes, weight gain, insomnia… and shall I go on?

But you know, those symptoms aren’t the only things that come up during our mid-life shift… Hormones seem to stir the pot of our past and we get a new opportunity to deal with – and heal from – our trauma.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the topic of trauma is buzzing around social media right now when you consider that in the US alone, we women going through (peri)menopause make up about 20 percent of the population! Yup. 65 million of us in America are starting conversations on the topic because that’s what’s coming up for us.

Mid-life.
Menopause.
Trauma.

I believe that if that’s what’s coming up for us, then it’s time to heal.

I hope you enjoyed my talk: Traumapause: When menopause gets our attention, calls for healing, and to unapologetically love ourselves.

Sending you love and healing in every season of your life!
